James Sarnicki, a police captain in Linden, N.J., commented on a wrongway car crash involving Linden police officers last week and said, “We were all young once, and I’m sure we’ve all done stupid things in our life.” An Associated Press article that appeared in Sunday’s editions misattributed the quote.
