Hunt named

to West Point

Jason Hunt, son of Paul and Lorraine Hunt of Bentonville, has received an appointment to the class of 2019 at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Hunt is scheduled to graduate from Bentonville High School in May of 2015 where he was a member of the BHS Swim and Dive Team and Cross Country Team. He also participates in Civil Air Patrol and served as squadron commander. He swims for the Razorback Aquatic Club and will be swimming for Army Swim and Dive as a distance swimmer.

The appointed members of the class of 2019 will report to West Point for the first time on June 29.

Lolley joins

Red Cross

The American Red Cross recently hired Julie Lolley as major gifts officer for Northwest Arkansas.

The American Red Cross has been helping neighbors down the street, across the country and around the world for 130 years.

Fogle earns

Eagle Scout

Grant Fogle, 17, of Bella Vista earned his Eagle Scout award recently. He is a member of Troop 450 in Bentonville and the son of Greg and Laura Fogle.

His Eagle Scout project included refurbishing a display case for historical items found at the Jim Schrader Cabin Site, Lost Bridge Hiking Trail on Beaver Lake. A new display case was built and was installed under a new roof structure.

Amazeum

adds staff

In further preparation for its summer 2015 opening, the Amazeum has added five members to its staff.

Diana Eike has been named office administrator, Dana Engelbert is marketing manager, Pody Gay is guest experience manager, Bryce Graves is facilities manager and Marie Vukin is early learner specialist.

Eike is a Northwest Arkansas native who comes to the Amazeum from Visit Bentonville, where she served as lobby manager.

Engelbert joined the Amazeum in January. She is responsible for advertising, public relations, social media, and website maintenance and development.

Gay will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing all aspects of the guest engagement in the exhibit hall.

Graves has more than 25 years experience in maintenance, commercial and residential construction, facilities and project management.

Vukin will create, implement and refine developmentally appropriate educational and public programs for children ages birth to 5 and pre-K through second grade, as well as for their caregivers.
