Riverview claims 4A title

Madison Riley, Erykah Johns and Kayla Young combined for 40 points as Riverview ran away from Ozark for a 65-43 victory in the Class 4A girls state championship game. Riverview (38-1) won its first state title and put an end to Ozark’s 22-game winning streak. 5C

CLASS 4A BOYS

Monticello back on top

Monticello pulled away in the second half to beat Subiaco Academy 57-42 in the Class 4A boys state championship game. The 15-point victory gave the Billies (27-1) their first basketball state title since 1976 and their third overall. 4C

CLASS 6A GIRLS

Two in row for Greenwood

Senior Megan Hartness scored 20 points and Greenwood came up with 22 steals in beating Siloam Springs 39-31 in the Class 6A girls state championship game. The victory earned the Lady Bulldogs (29-2) their second consecutive state title. 5C

CLASS 6A BOYS

PB dethrones Jonesboro

Pine Bluff completed its late-season turnaround by knocking off Jonesboro 46-43 in the Class 6A boys state championship game. The Zebras (17-13) beat three top-seeded teams en route to winning their first state title since 2003. 4C
