CALL FOR RECIPES
The Old Farmer's Almanac is accepting entries for a cookbook that will be published in 2017.
In addition to recipes, the Almanac wants the stories behind them -- how and why they were created, whose it was, where it was or is served, and how much it means to the person or family who submits it. The chosen recipes and stories will appear in a special collection to be released in conjunction with the 225th anniversary edition of The Old Farmer's Almanac.
Recipes must be the property of the submitter, original and unpublished. Amateur cooks only. Entrants will be entered in a drawing to win a 2-quart Le Creuset Dutch oven, a $100 gift card, a 6-quart programmable Crock-Pot slow cooker, or a copy of Old Farmer's Almanac Comfort Food cookbook. Recipes can be submitted online at Almanac.com/favoriterecipe or mailed to The Old Farmer's Almanac, P.O. Box 520, Dublin, N.H. 03444. For mailed entries, please include the complete recipe and any story behind or extra information about the creation of the recipe or how it is used in your family.
The submission deadline is April 1.
