Former Fayetteville businessman convicted of bank fraud

A former Fayetteville businessman was found guilty Monday of two counts of bank fraud.

Andrew Judkins, 42, now of Bixby, Okla., presented a fake invoice related to the purchase of two dump trucks for $500,000, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge. The trucks were actually worth $30,000 each, according to the news release.

Judkins later presented a false rental agreement showing one of the trucks was being rented out, when he had actually sold it for $74,000 without repaying the bank, according to the news release.

“Fraudulent schemes prey on our local economy and will be aggressively prosecuted," Eldridge said in the news release. "Our office remains focused on those who perpetrate fraud, swindle money from others, and engage in financial crimes.”
