Texas-based burger chain breaks into NWA

It was about a year ago that the whispers began -- Whataburger... Whataburger is coming. This is the first location for the Texas-based restaurant chain north of Texarkana in Arkansas.

The company announced plans to break ground this month at 1920 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Set near Ramay Junior High, this is the former location of E-Z Mart. The site has been prepped for construction for months.

Whataburger officials hope the location is open and running by the first kickoff of the Razorbacks football season. A second location in the Pleasant Crossing area of Rogers is anticipated.
