Siloam police seeking man suspected of illegal dentistry

Siloam Springs police are looking for a man who practiced dentistry without a license, targeting Hispanic families in Siloam Springs in September, according to a news release.

Jesus Enrique Lopez-Portillo claimed to be a "missionary dentist," and agreed to perform dental services at customers' homes at a discounted rate, according to the news release.

Some people have had to get dental care to repair damage and injuries caused by Lopez-Portillo, according to the news release.

The news release stated that Lopez-Portillo worked with a woman Gudelia Betancourt, who drove a silver 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with the Oklahoma license plate 140JOW.

"There could be many more victims who have not reported this crime," Sgt. Todd Brakevillesaid. "Lopez-Portillo is dangerous sand we need help from the community to find him.”

Anyone with information on Lopez-Cortillo or Betancourt is asked to call police at 479-524-4118 ext. 2215.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the type of vehicle driven by Betancourt. The error has been corrected.
