Diane Byrum, development director for the Northwest Arkansas branch of the foundation, tells me the nonprofit organization is gearing up to start taking nominations in the coming weeks for Walk with the Finest honorees.

She said the honorees are "individuals, ages 25-40, who exemplify leadership qualities, are active in volunteer roles, and/or have excelled in the Northwest Arkansas business community. Honorees will be fundraising throughout the community and help raise awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Those chosen are among the most influential and successful young leaders in the community."

Once nominated and chosen by the selection committee, honorees will spend about three months raising money for the foundation, culminating with Golf with the Finest golf tournament on Aug. 28 at the Springdale Country Club and Walk with the Finest fashion show Aug. 29 at the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers.

Those opening wines with the foundation included Michelle and Mike McFadden, Ann and Chad Miller, Monika and Chad Hatfield, Dawn and Jeff Scroggins, Chris Harlow, Esther and Ben Gifford, Christy and Jason Jobe and Louis Greth.
