Sex offender held; address not on file

Jacksonville police arrested a man Friday afternoon for not registering as a sex offender.

Robert Charles Timberman, 31, was charged with one count of failure to comply with the sex-offender registry law, according to a police report.

Timberman last told authorities that he resided at 1052 Gina Circle in Jacksonville.

An anonymous source contacted authorities and told them that Timberman was living at 710 Crook Drive.

Police said Timberman told them that he has been homeless since March 2014 and was scared to tell them where he was staying because "he thought there were restrictions."
