Local brewery
launches local distillery
Core Brewing Company is expanding their production with spirits grown and distilled in Arkansas. Owner Jesse Core stated that the distillery will make single-malt whiskey, brandy and corn whiskey, commonly referred to as moonshine.
Core Brewing is focused on using products from local farmers, not limited to grains. Arkansas Black apples, peaches, grapes and corn are among the regional products that will be used in the distillery.
Core has a 120-gallon still that was awaiting the proper permits before being put to use and the first batch, Hanging Judge corn whiskey, will soon be available.
Core currently offers a pub in Rogers, and will soon open a pub in Fort Smith, located at 701 Rogers Avenue. Talks about five other locations, including Bella Vista, have been milling around.
The flagship Springdale location houses the main tap room, distillery and headquarter offices at 2470 Lowell Road.
Chef Shuttle expands
to Northwest Arkansas
Founded in February 2014, Chef Shuttle now has presence in 13 cities in central Arkansas, Memphis and now Northwest Arkansas.
Starting June 15, delivery will include areas of Bentonville and Rogers, specifically within zip codes 72712, 72718, 72756 and 72758.
Currently Chef Shuttle is partnered with IDK? Cafe, La Antigua Mexican Restaurant, Mellow Mushroom Pizza and On The Border.
A minimum food order of $15 is required, and there is a $4.95 delivery fee for up to a seven-mile radius of the delivery location.
Customers create an account, and delivery addresses and past orders are stored in the account.
Delivery services by Chef Shuttle are available 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday.
