Clay wins at Beaver Lake
Darren Clay fished solo and won the Everett Team Trail bass tournament on Saturday at Beaver Lake with five bass weighing 13.51 pounds.
Allan Shannon and Warren Edwards placed second with five bass weighing 12.43 pounds. Brit Sumter and Travis McKee were third with five bass at 12.06 pounds.
Chris Johnson and his son, Dalton Johnson, won the youth division with five bass weighing 8.48 pounds.
Park to offer lake kayak tours
Kayak tours on Beaver Lake will be offered by Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area on July 1, 15, 29 and 31. Tours are from 10 a.m. to noon and open to paddlers 13 or older. Cost is $12 and includes use of a recreational kayak, paddle and life jacket. An interpretive naturalist will lead the tours to talk about Beaver Lake and Hobbs State Park.
