Receding floodwaters allowed officials Sunday to reopen a section of U.S. 71 north of the Red River in Little River County, according to a news release from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
The 2.47 miles of U.S. 71 between Arkansas 108 in Miller County on the south end and the intersection with Arkansas 380 at Ogden in Little River County on the north end had been closed since May 29.
