Desiree LaShawn Bailey and Stanley Wayne Butler Jr. exchanged marriage vows at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30, in Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin A. Kelly officiated, assisted by the mother of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Terrell Bailey of St. Louis and Carlos Greer of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Shirley and the late Samuel Bailey of Marvell and Gloria and Clarence Patillo of Little Rock.

Parents of the groom are the Rev. Barbara A. Butler of Little Rock and the late Stanley Wayne Butler. His grandparents are Margaret and Eddie Jones and the late Lawrence Clayborn Butler, all of Little Rock, and the late Fannie Lou Peart of Winter Haven, Fla.

The chancel held four white columns draped with blue and raspberry-purple fabric. Music was by vocalist Leah Robinson.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory satin mermaid-style gown embellished with Swarovski crystals. She carried a large bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas and snapdragons.

Serving as maid of honor was Tysha D. Hill of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Tyneshia Hill, Tessie Ebenja and Tiamoya Greer, cousin of the bride, all of Little Rock; Laterika Holley of Camden; Kanesha Barnes of Pine Bluff; and Kasharie Sanders of Texarkana. The maid of honor wore a strapless satin mermaid-style gown in raspberry-purple and the bridesmaids wore blue gowns in the same style. They carried bouquets of white roses.

Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Ann Ballard of Little Rock, niece of the groom. Flower girls were Jhournei Miller of Little Rock, cousin of the bride, and Taylor Bailey of St. Louis, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Christan Lamar Butler of Little Rock, son of the groom.

Chippale Shakelford of Little Rock was best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Taylor, Reshad Dulaney and Johnathan Acklin, all of Little Rock; Cameron Mobley of New York; and Rashad Majeed and Haneef Majeed, both of Atlanta and cousins of the groom. Junior groomsman was Carlos Greer Jr. of Jacksonville, brother of the bride. Guests were seated by Jalen Greer of Jacksonville and Donnell Mason of St. Louis, brothers of the bride.

A reception at the Doubletree Hotel followed the ceremony. Tables were centered with crystal globe vases holding candles.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is an administrative assistant for the Arkansas Ethics Commission.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in construction management from UALR and is a project manager for Platinum Drywall.

The couple will make their home in Maumelle after a wedding trip to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
