Fayetteville posts board, committee openings

FAYETTEVILLE -- The city wants volunteers for eight openings on six boards and committees.

Applicants must be registered to vote in Fayetteville.

Applications can be found on the city's website, fayetteville-ar.gov, or in the City Clerk's office on the third floor of the City Administration Building, 113 W. Mountain St.

They must be submitted by hand to the clerk's office, by email to [email protected] or by mail to City Clerk, 113 W. Mountain St., Fayetteville, AR 72701 no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 28.

The City Council's Nominating Committee will then conduct interviews with applicants.

Openings are:

• Board of Adjustments: One term ending March 31, 2016.

• Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals: Two alternate terms ending March 31, 2016.

• Energy Improvement District No. 1: One term ending Dec. 31, 2017.

• Public Facilities Board: One term ending Dec. 31, 2020.

• Town and Gown Advisory Committee: One Ward 1 resident term ending Sept. 30, 2017; one Ward 3 resident term ending Sept. 30, 2017.

• Walton Arts Center Council: One term with ending date to be determined.
