The standoff was resolved Wednesday afternoon when the 24-year-old man came out of the house, did not comply with police commands, and was stunned with a stun gun, said Lt. Scott Lewis, a police spokesman.

Lewis was unsure of the spelling of the man's name.

The man was not armed when he left the house, Lewis said. He was arrested and taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

SPRINGDALE — Police are evacuating homes near the house where a Springdale man had barricaded himself with a gun, Lt. Scott lewis, police spokesman, said early Wednesday afternoon.

A man, who police have not named, may be suicidal, police said. The man's sister called police, who arrived at 2697 Cave Creek Lane at 10:12 am Wednesday, Lewis said.

The SWAT team is on scene, and some homes have been evacuated, Lewis said. Police believe the man is reading texts from them, but he has yet to respond.
