Task force arrests two in connection with drugs

Two men under investigation by the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force turned themselves in Thursday after a search of their apartment turned up an assortment of drugs including 4.5 pounds of marijuana, according to preliminary arrest reports.

Members of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force served a search warrant at the men's apartment at Paradise View, 2744 Coy Kaylor, on July 10. Police found 2,064 grams of marijuana in different sized bags, 36 dosages of LSD on blotter paper, 1.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 0.3 grams of methamphetamine along with a digital scale and packaging material during the search, according to preliminary arrest reports for the two men. Arrest reports for both men indicated police spoke to their attorneys and they turned themselves in.

Terry D. Walker, 22, of 2744 Coy Kaylor No. 1 in Fayetteville was arrested Thursday in connection with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of LSD with intent to deliver, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zerek Charles Zumwalt, 21, of 2744 Coy Kaylor No. 1 in Fayetteville was arrested Thursday in connection with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of LSD with intent to deliver, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zumwalt was released from the Washington County Detention Center Thursday afternoon on a $2,500 bond.

Walker was released from the Washington County Detention Center Friday night on a $2,500 bond.
