Nicholas Amerson, 17, is the son of Chad and Christi Amerson of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 2 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs. For his Eagle Project, Nicholas planned and supervised external facilities improvements at Change Point Parenting Resource Center in Hot Springs.

Eagle Scout Charles Phillips

Colton Reeves, 18, is the son of Russell and Shannon Johnson of Benton, and Matt Reeves of Texarkana, Texas. He is a member of Troop 53 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Benton. For his Eagle Project, Colton installed a flag pole at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton.

Caleb Galloway, 16, is the son of Chris and Christina Galloway of Greenbrier. He is a member of Troop 435 at the First United Methodist Church in Greenbrier. For his Eagle Project, Caleb built a footbridge at the Greenbrier soccer fields.

Dickson Windsor, 17, is the son of Van and Harra Windsor of Pine Bluff. He is a member of Troop 100 at First Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff. For his Eagle Project, Dickson led his crew in rebuilding and reconfiguring a camouflaged viewing area at the Mike Huckabee Nature Center. It will be used to observe water fowl and other creatures in their natural habitat.

Nathan Gregson, 18, is the son of Gorden and Sherri Gregson of Jacksonville. He is a member of Troop 128 at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. For his Eagle Project, Nathan led a group that cleaned playground equipment, installed picnic tables and a flag pole, and did landscaping work for the Somers Avenue Church of Christ.

Austin Chapa, 18, is the son of Mark and Myra Chapa of Heber Springs. He is a member of Troop 754 at the Heber Springs City Hall. For his Eagle Project, Austin led a group in the restoration of the upper part of the Mossy Bluff Trail in Heber Springs.

Trevor Hampton, 16, is the son of Tony and Liz Hampton of Des Arc. He is a member of Troop 91 at the Troop 91 Scout Hut in Des Arc. For his Eagle Project, Trevor led his troop in the construction and installation of a memorial bench for two local Des Arc Lions Club members.

Zachary Ridgeway, 18, is the son of Becky and Tim Ridgeway of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 at Christ the King Catholic School in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Zachary worked with a nonprofit called Beyond Boundaries, located in Ward, by mulching their gardens, constructing a bench and a fence, and helping repair some erosion.

Jake Hasley, 15, is the son of Cecil and Karen Hasley of Des Arc. He is a member of Troop 91 at the Troop 91 Scout Hut in Des Arc. For his Eagle Project, Jake restored the two "Welcome to Des Arc" signs on Arkansas 11 West and Arkansas 11 North entering the city limits.

Charles Phillips, 18, is the son of Kelton and Annette Phillips of Benton. He is a member of Troop 53 at the St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Benton. For his Eagle Project, Charles updated the parking lot at Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton by repainting the parking lot and adding parking signs for handicap, visitor, and reserved spaces.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts by publishing their profiles and pictures.
