Morgan Elizabeth Newton became the bride of Clay Thomas Ramey at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18, in Fellowship Bible Church. The Rev. Robert Lewis officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and John Newton of Russellville. Her grandparents are Suzanne and retired Maj. Gen. William E. Harmon and Martha and the late James Newton, all also of Russellville.

Linda and Frank Ramey, 37 Bretagne Circle, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Lorene and Wayland Seymour of Tampa, Fla., and the late Marilyn and Tom Ramey of Hendersonville, Tenn.

The altar held two large white arrangements of hydrangeas, French tulips and gladioluses on white pedestals. The pews were marked with white hydrangeas and tulle. Music was by pianist Julie Morgan and vocalist Ashley Huenefeld.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory and silver gown of silk-taffeta. The sleeveless fitted bodice had a bateau neckline and keyhole back. At the natural waistline was a hand-beaded sash embellished with Swarovski crystals, rhinestones and pearls. The skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white peonies.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Atalie Knight of Little Rock and Brooklyn Pruett of Conway. Bridesmaids were Haley Henderson and Kate Nicholson, both also of Little Rock; Jade Schilling of St. George, Kan.; Morgan Merriman of Shreveport; and Erin Brown, Maggie Jo Hansen, Hayley Hall and Kelsy Litchenburg, all of Fayetteville. Junior bridesmaid was Ava Grace Franklin of Arlington, Va., cousin of the bride. They wore one-shoulder dupioni gowns with wide belts and full shirred skirts. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white French tulips with Italian ruscus and dusty miller.

Flower girls were Bliss Maynard of Durham, N.C., cousin of the bride; and Keenan Rawlings, Camille Rawlings and Scarlett Ramey, niece of the groom, all of Little Rock. Ring bearer was Liam Strother, also of Little Rock.

The groom's honor attendants were Brian Langford and Taylor Ramey, brother of the groom, both of Little Rock. Groomsmen, who also served as ushers, were Rusty Meeks, Scott Geurin and Bryce Ramey, brother of the groom, all also of Little Rock; Matt Mozzoni and Michael Newton, brother of the bride, both of Fayetteville; Roger Shafer of Dallas; Taylor Denniston of North Little Rock; and Barrett Belew of Bryant. Special escorts were Alex Franklin and Nicholas Franklin of Arlington, cousins of the bride.

A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated arrangements of white peonies, hydrangeas, French tulips and cushion chrysanthemums in trumpet vases or at the base of silver candelabra. Bistro tables were centered with silver mint julep cups holding white hydrangeas. Music was by the DMP Band of Memphis.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is a candidate for a doctorate of pharmacy in May from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. She is a pharmacy intern at Arkansas Heart Hospital.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and is a commercial lender at Bear State Bank.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Costa Rica.
