Malorie Foley Carr and Timothy DeJuan Turner were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Miller-Yow officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia and the Rev. Jeff Foley Carr, 10 Bear Trail Cove. Her grandparents are the late Dorothy and Jeff Carr of Augusta and the late Pearl and Ocie Grandberry of Mason, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Lula and Louis Turner, 7911 W. 29th St. He is the grandson of the late Sallie Mae and Eddie Turner of Osceola and the late Lydia and Henry Williams of Vincent.

The altar was centered with a large arrangement of all white hydrangeas, roses, lilies and gladioluses. Music was by pianist Julius Deberry, saxophonist Rashad Maybell and vocalists Spencer Matthew, Crisshaudra Pullom and Arthur Smith.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless silk fit-and-flare gown with a chapel-length train embellished with beading. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and roses, blush roses and dusty miller.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Portia Carr of Benton and Courtney McCree of Charlotte, N.C., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brittini Brown of Lafayette, Ind., Ryan Carr of McGehee and English Peterson of Little Rock, all cousins of the bride; and Katrina Cloird, Dr. LaCandian Spencer and Briana Turner, sister of the groom, all of Little Rock. They wore black Vera Wang gowns with crystal and pearl brooches pinned to sashes at their waists. Their bouquets were filled with pale pink hydrangeas with collars of dusty miller.

Flower girls and ring bearers were McKinley Carr of Benton, niece of the bride; Summer Cummings of Little Rock, niece of the groom; and Braylen Vanderbilt and Morgan Vanderbilt of Nashville, Tenn., cousins of the bride. Bible bearer was Brennen Vanderbilt, also of Nashville and a cousin of the bride.

The groom's honor attendants were Patrick Sanders of Cleveland and Louis Turner Jr. of Little Rock, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jermaine Anderson of Pine Bluff and Derreck Cobbs of Washington, cousins of the groom; Langston Carr of Benton, brother of the bride; Isaac Hicks of Dallas; John Sibley of Memphis; and Paul Webber of Alexander. Guests were seated by James Cowan of Pine Bluff, Jason Jackson of Alexander and Joffery Vanderbilt of Smyrna, Tenn., cousins of the bride, and Brandon Shelby of Camarillo, Calif.

A reception at Noah's Event Center followed the ceremony. Tables, covered with black satin tablecloths and black-and-white striped table runners, alternated arrangements of pink and white hydrangeas with tall silver candelabra, bubble bowls of white and blush flowers and cylinders of floating candles. Music was by Soulful Sounds.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in general studies with an emphasis in early childhood education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and is working toward a master's degree in school counseling at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and is a second-grade teacher at Bale Elementary.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in history from UAPB and a master's degree in middle childhood education from UALR. He is working toward an administration licensure at UALR. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and a seventh-grade science teacher and girl's basketball coach at Dunbar Middle School.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will live in Little Rock.
