Josh Duggar, the oldest child of the Jim Bob Duggar family, and his wife, Anna, have announced the birth of their fourth child.
The former TLC reality stars announced Sunday the birth of a daughter, Meredith Grace Duggar, who weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.5 inches long, according to social media posts by the Duggar family. Josh and Anna Duggar’s’ older children are Mackynzie, 5; Michael, 4; and Marcus, 2.
The baby news came three days after TLC canceled the Duggar’s 19 Kids and Counting reality show, which debuted in 2008. The program was pulled from the network in May, after reports surfaced that Josh Duggar, now 27, had fondled four of his sisters and a baby-sitter over a period of several months in 2002 and 2003, when he was a teenager.
Duggar apologized for unspecified actions on a Facebook post and resigned May 21 from the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group, where he had worked as a lobbyist.
