FORT SMITH -- A Van Buren woman died Saturday when she threw herself from a moving vehicle during an argument with her husband, according to a Fort Smith police news release.
Cassandra Wylie, 41, was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith after jumping from the vehicle at Arkansas 45 and Burrough Road in south Fort Smith about 8 p.m. Saturday.
Others in the vehicle with her told police she had been arguing with her husband, Joel Wylie, 41, "over some infidelity in their marriage," the release said.
At one point, one of two other passengers in the vehicle told police that Cassandra Wylie said, '"Don't think I won't kill myself,'" after which she moved to the open sunroof and jumped from the moving vehicle.
Joel Wylie, who was driving the vehicle, was arrested and charged with third-offense driving while intoxicated, the release said.
