A man accused of shooting at sheriff's deputies and fleeing was caught Monday, Benton County sheriff's office spokesman Keshia Guyll said.

Christopher Hood was in custody of the Benton County sheriff's office just before noon Monday, and was being treated for self-inflicted injuries, Guyll said.

Deputies searched for Hood into the night Friday and again Saturday.

Authorities said a deputy attempted Friday to serve a warrant on Hood, and Hood fled. Guyll previously said Hood fired one shot at deputies.

Hood was spotted again Saturday night in Bella Vista and that area was searched.

Preliminary information suggested Hood was taken into custody just over the state line in Missouri, Guyll said.
