First Baptist Church in Bentonville, 200 S. Main St., and its women's ministry, will give away clothing from 7 a.m. to noon Aug. 8 in the Family Life Center. New and gently worn clothing and shoes for the entire family are available at no cost.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 902 S.W. Second St., Bentonville, presents musical performers Armand and Angelina playing and speaking during the service July 12. A flute "playshop" begins at 12:30 p.m., with flutes provided. The duo presents a concert at 7 p.m. July 13.

Unity offers a new class, "Energy Explorations," about muscle testing, on the first and third Monday of the month. Tresa Jacobs leads the class.

The Unity Breakfast Club meets at 9 a.m. July 11.

The United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, will mark Independence Day with members gathering around the flag pole for the Pledge of Allegiance at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Sandy O'Neil will sing the National Anthem, then the congregation will process into the sanctuary for worship.

The Breakfast Club (formerly the Men's Club) holds its annual picnic at 5 p.m. Monday at the Riordan Pavilion in Bella Vista. Cost is $12 per person, with registration requested by Wednesday.

The church sponsors its outdoor movie night at 8 p.m. Friday with the feature "Monsters University." Popcorn and drinks are provided. Lawn chairs and blankets encouraged.

The women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America meets for a continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m July 20 in the fellowship hall. The Rev. Fred Nelson, pastor, leads Bible study.

Compassion Fayetteville presents an online broadcast of the Global Meditation for Compassion at 11 a.m. July 11 at Unity of Fayetteville, 4800 Wedington Dr. Deepak Chopra, Gabrielle Bernstein, Ismael Cala and more than 500,000 people worldwide will come together to "turn around the rising tide of disconnection in the world, and through renewed empathy and love, reconnect with what truly matters."

Unity of Fayetteville, 4880 W. Wedington Drive, presents Amrand and Angelina in a musical variety show at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Donations encouraged. An American Indian flute workshop is offered at 9 a.m. July 16. Admission is $20.

House of Hope Rescue Mission in Springdale, 505 E. Emma Ave., and the Rodeo of the Ozarks partner for a canned food drive. Items will be collected tonight at the three main entrances of Parsons Stadium during the 71st annual rodeo. The mission also sponsors a float during today's rodeo parade, and volunteers will walk alongside the float to collect donations. Canned goods, nonperishable food and monetary donations are appreciated.

The mission is a day center for the homeless and needy in Northwest Arkansas. The mission provides hot meals, a food pantry, clothes, showers and laundry facilities. The mission's hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The mission is operated by New Hope Fellowship.
