Governor's appointments

Gov. Asa Hutchinson has appointed eight special associate justices to the Arkansas Supreme Court to hear specific cases in which justices have recused or otherwise cannot rule, the governor's office announced.

The appointments are:

Bryan Tilley, Heber Springs, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Josephine Linker Hart in CV-15-111, Shelter Mutual Insurance Company v. Michael Goodner.

Ronald A. Williams, Springdale, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Courtney Goodson in CV-15-111, Shelter Mutual Insurance Company v. Michael Goodner.

Kevin R. Holmes, Van Buren, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Robin Wynne in CV-15-111, Shelter Mutual Insurance Company v. Michael Goodner.

Emily Sneddon, Little Rock, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Robin Wynne in CV-14-1018, Sheryl Sue Norris v. Ashley N. Davis.

Robert Shafer, Little Rock, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Robin Wynne in CV-15-156, George Brumley v. Arkansas Department of Human Services.

Michael Ryburn, Little Rock, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Paul Danielson in CV-15-65, Desoto Gathering Company, LLC v. Faulkner County Circuit Court.

Michael O'Quinn, Little Rock, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Paul Danielson in CR-14-818, John Chad Griffin v. State of Arkansas.

Tommy Fowler Jr., Jonesboro, as a special associate justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, replacing Justice Paul Danielson in CV-14-533, Don Davis v. Cheryl Davis.
