Mayflower

Restaurant closed

The locally operated restaurant that promoted progressive Ozark cuisine and opened May 5 is now closed. The fine dining establishment was housed in the former Nibbles Academy of Cooking, beside Liquor World on College Avenue in Fayetteville.

An announcement published on the Mayflower Restaurant's Facebook page on Jan. 21 thanked the community for support and suggested that chefs William McCormick and Ethan Altom may turn up in a nearby kitchen before long.

There's a new

pizzeria in town

Marley's Chicago-style pizzeria, located at 609 W. Dickson Street, is tucked down in Powerhouse Alley, behind Qdoba.

The restaurant offers hand-crafted creations with delivery and catering available. There is a banquet area that can seat 20-30 guests and 16 televisions throughout the restaurant.

Weekly specials include Happy Hour all day on Mondays with half-price cheese bread, baked ravioli and garlic knots; $2 domestic draft beer and $2.50 domestic bottles Tequila Tuesdays with $3 Margaritas and $10 frozen pitchers; kids eat free from 4 p.m. to close and $6 domestic pitchers on Wednesdays; $5 10-inch single topping pizzas and $5 Vegas or Jager bombs on Thursdays; $3 Fireball and $5 angry balls cocktails on Fridays; $6 domestic pitchers from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday; and $3.50 Bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers and large pizzas for a medium pizza price on Sundays.

A lunch specials is offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a two-topping personal pizza for $5.95 and a personal-size specialty pizza for $6.95.

Hours of operation are Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. More information is available online at marleyspizza.com or by calling (479) 301-2815.

Springdale is

getting a Dickey's

With locations in Fayetteville, Lowell, Rogers and Siloam Springs, Dickey's Barbecue Pit will open their first Springdale location at 2576 W. Sunset Avenue, Suite E, next to Silk Road.

Dickey's serves Texas-style barbecue with in-house smoked meats, buttery rolls and home-style sides. Dine-in meals are served with complimentary ice cream, and children eat free on Sundays.

As a pre-opening special, Dickey's in Springdale is offering a 10 percent discount on box lunches, delivery buffet or full-service catering orders for 10 people or more. To book a catering order for gatherings after March, call 866-barbecue and ask for the Springdale Dickey's Barbecue Pit.
