FAYETTEVILLE -- New Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos said adapting himself to the team's offensive style under Coach Bret Bielema was a more likely option than molding the offense around his personal schemes and calls.

"That's something we discussed a lot in the process," Enos said. "Obviously we would like to keep as much of the verbiage the same so just one guy's learning it, and that's me and not the rest of them.

"But I think there will have to be some give and take just with some of the things we want to do. ... I think that's something that'll be ironed out over the course of the next month or two, as soon as we get done with national signing day."

Chips in 2012

Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos said his 2012 Central Michigan team was very near the style of production and balance he seeks.

That Chippewas featured Zurlon Tipton, who rushed for 1,497 yards and 19 touchdowns and averaged 5.9 yards per carry. Quarterback Ryan Radcliff completed 242 of 407 passes (59.5 percent) for 3,163 yards with 23 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. The team also had two 800-yard receivers in Titus Davis (860 yards) and Cody Wilson (845).

Enos said the Central Michigan team he inherited in 2010 had one tight end on the roster and that it took him a couple of years to build depth at the position.

Spaight run

NFL.com's Chase Goodbread gave a shout on Twitter to former Arkansas linebacker Martrell Spaight late in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.

Goodbread wrote in the fourth quarter: "Arkansas LB Martrell Spaight showing he can get to the perimeter this drive. Underrated."

Senior stats

Martrell Spaight tied three other former SEC players for the South team lead with five tackles in the Senior Bow.

Former Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall, playing defensive back, former Ole Miss safety Cody Prewitt and former Mississippi State defensive tackle Preston Smith also had five tackles.

Dezmin Lewis of the University of Central Arkansas led the South with three catches for 59 yards.

Flowers impresses

Former Arkansas defensive end Trey Flowers helped his stock during Senior Bowl practices, the Charlotte Observer noted.

Flowers and Utah's Nate Orchard were deemed as the two of the best pass rushers at the all-star game in Mobile, Ala., and Flowers' ability to play outside linebacker was highlighted.

"It's no thing to me being a 3-4 standing up as an outside linebacker or a 4-3 hand in the dirt," Flowers told the Observer.

Flowers checked in at 6-2, 268 pounds, but had one of the longest wingspans at 84 1/4 inches.

"I like to think of myself as a power rusher," Flowers told the newspaper. "I like to use my hands a lot, and that gives me an advantage with my wingspan."

Marshall lands

Former Arkansas running back Korliss Marshall (Osceola) has enrolled at Eastern Illinois, which is coached by former Razorback receiver Kim Dameron. And since Eastern Illinois is in the Football Championship Subdivision, he will be eligible immediately.

His position coach with the Panthers will be former Arkansas assistant Danny Nutt. Dameron's staff also includes former Razorback linebacker Dennis Winston and former Arkansas assistant Mike Markuson.

Marshall had a troubled two-year run at Arkansas marked by multiple suspensions off the field, and the brink of stardom on it. One of the fastest Razorbacks, Marshall had 976 all-purpose yards in two seasons, including 693 kickoff return yards and a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown against Northern Illinois.

He played behind 1,000-yard rushers Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins.
