Rogers student cited at Bucknell

John Brunner of Rogers has been named to the Dean’s List at Bucknell University for the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year. Dean’s List students have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.

He is the son of John and Kimberly Brunner.

Located in Lewisburg, Pa., Bucknell University is a liberal arts university.

Gorman named

to Dean’s List

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named Kevin Gorman of Rogers to the Dean’s List.

Gorman, whose major is music performance, was among 391 students who were honored for academic excellence in the fall 2014 semester.

To achieve the honor of being on the Dean’s List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 semester hours, with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

Daniels wins

Eames award

Andrew Daniels, a member of South Georgia State College’s men’s basketball team, was awarded the Eames Scholarship by the James M. Dye Foundation for the 2014-15 academic year.

The scholarship was established in 2008 by Charles Eames for students on SGSC’s Waycross Campus.

A 2014 graduate of Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Daniels plans to transfer to a four-year college or university to major in sports management/sports training. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey C. Daniels of Fayetteville.

Williams College

Williams Baptist College has released the names of students on the President’s and Dean’s Lists for the 2014 fall semester. The President’s List includes those full-time students who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while the Dean’s List is comprised of those with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. Those making the President’s and Dean’s Lists from Arkansas, listed by county, were:

Charles Nystrom of Rogers. He is majoring in biology.

Abigail Spencer of Fayetteville.

Dean’s List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.
