Village Bible Evangelical Free Church in Bella Vista, 210 Town Center S.E., offers worship at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday school classes begin at 9 a.m. Members also meet in an intercessory prayer session for the church at 9 a.m. each Monday. A family prayer and praise service and youth activities begin at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, with a potluck meal served at 5:30 p.m.

The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. today. The Women’s Ministry sponsors a “Screemo” game night for the church Friday, with participants asked to bring a snack to share.

The church provides a preview of “Financial Peace University” at 6:30 p.m Jan. 25. Weekly classes begin at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8. The money management video course is taught by Dave Ramsey.

Cross Church Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, 2448 Pinnacle Hills Parkway, presents the spring session of the Summit Business Persons’ Luncheon. The sessions run from 11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. each Thursday. Tickets are $10.

Jim Rollins, superintendent of the Springdale School District, speaks Thursday. Rollins has been an advocate for Arkansas children and statewide education standards for decades. He has served Springdale as school superintendent since 1982.

Bella Vista United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, sponsors the JAM children’s ministry in the annual Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser after the worship service Feb. 1. Donations go to the church’s Pack Shack goal of $1,500. The Pack Shack feeds children, with church members packing the meals and choosing a local agency for distribution. In addition, the youth also will serve a soup luncheon that day.

The church presents the Lunch and Learn series of the Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education at noon Jan. 27.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 902 SW. Second St., Bentonville, presents its monthly potluck meal Jan. 25 following the morning’s service.

Sunday Cinema on Jan. 25 screens “The Akashic Records and the Illusion of Time,” a film from the Edgar Cayce Association and Enlightenment Organization. A potluck meal is served, and offerings are accepted.

The church collects nonperishable food items Sunday for the Habitat for Humanity Food Bank. The Care and Share trailer will be at the church from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. The church sponsors a meal-packing party for the Pack Shack on Jan. 24, with meals going to local food banks.

The Rev. Zach Underwood, associate pastor, offers a 12-week Bible study of the Old Testament, using “Epic of Eden” from Sandra Richter. The class meets at noon Thursday.

The Soaring Solos meet Jan. 24 to help with the Pack Shack event, followed by a meal at Dairy Queen in Bella Vista. Moving Forward, a single men’s fellowship group, meets at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Support for loss and a homecooked meal are featured. Youth Life for junior and senior high students meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Compassion Fayetteville offers compassion meditation training Feb. 1-14 through the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin in Madison Participants download the 30-minute meditation and listen every day for two weeks.
