Washington County is closing the Orr Bridge on County Road 67, effective immediately, according to a statement from the county.
The bridge, built in 1924, spans the Illinois River.
Structural deficiencies have led to concerns about public safety, according to the statement.
The bridge is about half a mile south of Arkansas 265, near the Hogeye community.
