Interim Police Chief Hayes Minor was sworn in as chief of the Rogers Police Department late Tuesday afternoon.
Minor has been with the Rogers Police Department for 21 years. Prior to his appointment he was a captain over both the uniform officer division and criminal investigations division the at the department.
Minor was already heading the day-to-day operations of the department, said Greg Hines, mayor. He has worked well community partners and the other city departments, he said.
"We stand in lockstep in the direction we are going,"Hines said.
