PAPER DIAMOND — A frequent opening act for performers such as Bassnectar, Skrillex, Zeds Dead and Pretty Lights is coming to George’s Majestic Lounge on a solo tour. Colorado-born electronica producer Paper Diamond brings his “Rain Drops” tour to the Fayetteville venue on Thursday. The light effect-heavy show also focuses on the forthcoming “Rain Drops” EP. Admission to the 9 p.m. performance is $17.
JEFF AUSTIN BAND — Mandolin player and vocalist Jeff Austin left Yonder Mountain String Band last year to start a solo career. He just released his new album, “The Simple Truth,” on Feb. 10. His newly formed project comes to Fayetteville tonight for a show at George’s Majestic Lounge. The Jeff Austin Band takes the stage following an 8:30 p.m. performance by guests The Old Salt Union. RHONDA VINCENT — On Feb. 8, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage cleaned house at the annual Society of the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America ceremony, an annual awards event that honors traditional bluegrass acts. The group took home Female Vocalist of the Year (Contemporary), Bluegrass Band of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. On Thursday, the band comes to the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville for a 7 p.m. show.
