Arkansas downs Auburn, wins third straight

Arkansas is still perfect at Auburn Arena.

The No. 24 Razorbacks scored 58 first half points Tuesday and beat Auburn 101-87.

Bobby Portis scored 22 points for Arkansas (19-5, 8-3 SEC). The Razorbacks have won six of their last seven games.

Arkansas made 61.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half and led the Tigers 58-47 at halftime. The teams combined to shoot 56 free throws in the first half, which lasted 1 hour, 15 minutes.

Michael Qualls scored 16 of his 19 points before halftime for the Razorbacks. Anthlon Bell added 16 points and hit four 3-pointers for the second consecutive game.

Arkansas made 53.8 percent of its field goal attempts overall and was 11 for 23 from 3-point range.

The Razorbacks scored 44 points in the paint and had 22 points off 17 Auburn turnovers. Arkansas improved to 4-0 all-time at Auburn Arena.

KT Harrell led the Tigers with 21 points. Auburn (11-13, 3-8) lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Arkansas will play at Ole Miss on Saturday. The Razorbacks lost 96-82 to the Rebels last month at Bud Walton Arena.
