The senior guard began his second-quarter surge with a short jumper, followed by a 3-pointer to prompt a Rogers timeout with 5 minutes, 34 seconds left in the half. After the break, Toomer worked inside for a basket to give Har-Ber a 21-10 lead.

J.P. Brandon scored 15 points to lead Har-Ber (15-5, 6-2) while Milacio Freeland had 14 to pace the Mounties (6-15, 1-7).

"Daniel played extremely well," Har-Ber coach Scott Bowlin said. "It wasn't so much the scoring as how hard and smart he played."

Har-Ber increased its lead to 28-15 at halftime before the Wildcats went on another run in the third quarter. Avery Benson and Kerry Knight made 3-pointers before Brandon contributed two inside baskets to put the Wildcats ahead 46-32.

Har-Ber has followed its two conference losses with wins against teams from Rogers. Har-Ber defeated Rogers Heritage after losing at Fort Smith Northside and beat the Mounties after losing badly at Bentonville.

"We don't play very smart sometimes," Bowlin said. "We give up 14 points in the first half then give up (36) in the second half. That's telling me we're still unable to concentrate enough and beat people like we're supposed to."

The victory still gives the Wildcats momentum heading into Tuesday's game at Springdale High, where Tereke Eckwood will face his former teammates on their home court.

Rogers managed only three baskets in the first half while losing to Springdale Har-Ber.

The Lady Mounties didn't reach double digits until Brooke Sagely scored with 7 minutes, 22 seconds left in the third quarter. Paige Redmond gave Rogers an opportunity to reach double figures in the second quarter when she fouled Emma Wisdom on a 3-point attempt at the buzzer. But Wisdom missed three consecutive free throws for Rogers (7-14, 1-7), which was 2 of 12 from the line in the first half.

Nine players scored for Har-Ber (17-5, 6-2), which led 28-9 at halftime and 46-12 after three quarters. Sophomore Karrington Whaley led the way with 17 points. Paige Redmond scored nine points and got Har-Ber going with two 3-pointers in the first quarter.

"We started off slow and Paige got us going with those two buckets," Har-Ber coach Sandy Wright said. "We emphasized working on defense this week and I'm pleased with how we contained them."

Meghan Randels finished with 10 points to lead Rogers. The Lady Mounties finished 5 of 17 from the line while the Lady Wildcats were 9 of 19.
