A Springdale man wanted in connection with kidnapping, aggravated assault and domestic battery was arrested Friday in Key West, Fla., according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.
Arrangement are being made to extradite Jonathan Butler back to Arkansas, according to the news release.
Police had been searching for Butler since Monday when they responded to a disturbance at Oak Moore Street. A woman said Butler had beat her, wrapped his hands around her throat and pointed a loaded AR-15 rifle at her, threatening to kill her, police said.
The woman was able to escape through a window.
Special operations officers responding to the incident found the home empty.
