Laura Carrolyn Bryan became the bride of Russell Byron Curtner at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The Rev. Christoph Keller III officiated.

Ann and Dr. James Witt Bryan IV, 2009 S. Arch St., are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Joan and George Ballard and Ann and James Bryan III, all of Little Rock, and the late Freida Ballard of North Little Rock.

Parents of the groom are Terry and Dr. Byron Duke Curtner of North Little Rock. He is the grandson of Betty and the late Henry Ransom, Marion and the late Jennings Curtner and Charlotte and James Meredith, all of Wynne.

The altar held a pair of tall arrangements of pink and white hydrangeas and variegated foliage. Music was by organist Tom Lee, violinist Kiril Laskarov and soprano Maria Fasciano.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless ivory trumpet-style gown with a Chantilly lace overlay. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and cascading white phalaenopsis orchids.

Laura Elizabeth Bradbury of Austin, Texas, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Douglass, Barbara Day, Eliza Gaines, Clarice Partee, Olivia Ramsey, Garrett Simpson and Anna Trigg, cousin of the bride, all of Little Rock; and Margaret King of Heber Springs. They wore silver-gray cocktail dresses in a variety of styles and carried bouquets of pink cymbidium orchids.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Pamela Ann Bryan and Ethan Dearing Bryan, both of Little Rock and cousins of the bride.

Best man was Luke David Brockman of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Samuel Baber, Andrew Charlton, Joseph Faucett, Lawson Moody and Robert Wilson III, all of Little Rock; Travis Curtner of North Little Rock, brother of the groom; Steven Gresham of Holly Springs, Miss.; William Henry of Fayetteville; and Maxwell Neely of Nashville. Guests were seated by Philip Bemberg, Jamie Boyd, David Hesselbein and Charles Wise, all of Little Rock.

Following the ceremony, a reception in the style of a midcentury Hollywood supper club was held at the Dreamland Ballroom. The ballroom was centered with two life-size banana tree oases. Underneath were cabaret tables centered with tropical foliage, pink orchids and pastel dahlias. Pedestals centered with oversize white urns filled with tropical foliage, variegated hosta leaves and torch ginger were placed throughout the room. Music was by Memphis Soul Revue.

The bride is a graduate of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., and has a bachelor's degree in studio art. She has a bachelor's degree in art with an emphasis in museum studies from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where she was a member of Alpha Chi. She is an art and artifact conservator and owner of Bryan & Devan Conservation.

The groom has bachelor's and master's degrees in accountancy from the University of Mississippi at Oxford, where he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi and Sigma Nu. He is a licensed certified public accountant and supervising accountant at Erwin & Co.

After a wedding trip to Mykonos and Santorini, Greece, and Istanbul, the couple will live in Little Rock.
