Sing along

Somebody the other day said the presidential race could come down to Donald Trump on one side and Hillary Clinton on the other. Say it isn't so. Say it can't be so. Mrs. Clinton, who used to live around here, looks to have a better shot at her nomination. Here's hoping that The Donald's 20-25 percent of the Republican vote puts him at the back of the pack once the race thins out.

But could you imagine The Donald vs. The Hillary?

It reminds us of a song, written many years ago, but still fitting today:

Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon.

Going to the candidates' debate.

Laugh about it, shout about it

When you've got to choose,

Every way you look at this you lose.

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio, our nation turns its lonely eyes to you . . . .
