The organ of FUPC dates back over 70 years, beginning in the Central Presbyterian Church of Fayetteville. The instrument was stored for some time when First United Presbyterian was formed, installed into what is now the Fellowship Hall, and final installation into the present Sanctuary. Originally manufactured by the Estey Company in 1926, it was modified by the Wick Company in 1968, and the present facade of pipes was installed in 1997.

Sunday's concert showcases the various ways that the instrument will be used at First United Presbyterian. Choir and congregational singing will be part of the concert. Local organists Jeannie Lee, Linda Kelly, Jonathan Story and Ernest Whitmore will present several musical selections featuring the various sounds the instrument can now produce.
