FAYETTEVILLE -- A Springdale woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend over the weekend has an arraignment date.

Wanda Ivette Andaluz-Prado, 44, is set to be arraigned Sept. 9 in Washington County Circuit Court.

Andaluz-Prado was arrested and being held in jail on preliminary charges of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. Prosecutors haven't yet filed formal charges in the case, which typically occurs a couple of days before arraignment.

Springdale police identified Pedro Coria Campuzano, 36, as the man who was stabbed to death early Sunday.

Police were called about a possible suicide at 2:46 a.m. Sunday at 514 Butterfield Coach Road, E102, where they found Campuzano with a knife wound to his chest, according to a preliminary police report. Emergency responders were unable to resuscitate Campuzano, the police report said.

Police arrested Andaluz-Prado, of the same address as Campuzano, on Sunday.

The preliminary police report indicates the person who called 911 said a man had cut himself and was bleeding.

Andaluz-Prado later said she stabbed Campuzano, according to the police report. She also told police the man she stabbed was Juan Gabriel Coria Chavez, not Campuzano, according to the police news release.

Police contacted family members who identified Campuzano, according to the release.

Andaluz-Prado is being held at the Washington County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
