Accidents in Arkansas fatal to four

Arkansas State Police released reports this week showing four people were killed on state roads.

A Georgia man was killed and two more people were injured in a Thursday morning crash in Atkins in Pope County, according to a state police report.

A 2015 Dodge was traveling east on Interstate 40 when it left the roadway, then hit the rear of a 2014 International semitrailer that was stopped on the shoulder, according to the report. The Dodge overturned, killing Blake A. Zeledon, 23, of Newnan, Ga., a passenger in the car. The driver, a minor, and another passenger Alyssa M. Ressis, 19, from Newnan, Ga., were injured in the crash and taken to Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

The driver of the International, James Soriano, 21, of Whittier, Calif., and his passenger, Thomas E. Faley, 26, of Carlsbad, Calif., were not injured in the crash.

On Wednesday, a DeWitt man was killed after the car he was driving ran off the road and into a ditch in Arkansas County, according to a report.

Jonathan Sampson, 19, was driving a 1975 GMC Blazer south on McAdams Road around 7:15 p.m. when the SUV ran off the east side of the road and overturned in a ditch, the report said. Sampson was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Little Rock man was killed in a crash involving two motorcycles and a Ford Mustang on Warden Road in Sherwood in Pulaski County, according to a report from state police.

The crash happened May 23, but state police released the report Thursday. In the report, state police said Denvil Williams, 21, was driving a 1995 Honda motorcycle south on Warden Road next to a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, the driver of which is not listed in the report. The two motorcyclists were stopped before the U.S. 67/167 onramp.

A 2013 Ford Mustang was also traveling south on Warden Road "at a high rate of speed," the report said. The driver of the Suzuki motorcycle heard the approaching Mustang and jumped off his motorcycle. The Ford Mustang hit the Suzuki motorcycle, which then hit the Honda motorcycle causing Williams to be thrown from his bike.

Williams was killed, and the driver of the Mustang, Kylon Williams, 30, of North Little Rock was injured.

A motorcyclist from Huntington was killed after losing control of a bike and being thrown off in a June crash in Sebastian County, according to a crash report released Thursday.

Mark A. Cash, 34, was driving a 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on U.S. 271 in Fort Smith around 10:19 p.m. on June 29 when he lost control, began to slide and was thrown from his bike, the report said.

At the time of all of the crashes, the weather was clear and roads were dry.
