A Friday evening crash killed a Texas man and injured a Pennsylvania woman, Arkansas State Police reported.
Bruce Allen Redington of Duncanville, Texas, was eastbound in a 2008 Volvo truck on Interstate 40 in Pope County at 5:31 p.m. when the vehicle went off the side of the road, hit several trees and overturned, police said.
Redington, 63, died at the scene, police said. His passenger, Talat Malika, 46, of Allentown, Pa., was injured and taken to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, police said.
State police also reported that a Mississippi man was killed in an accident on July 26 in Searcy County.
James Quitman Nicholas, 58, of Lake, Miss., was killed at 11:59 p.m. when the 1988 GMC he was driving west on U.S. 66 ran off the road and overturned, police said.
