Police: Bodies of 2 found in LR home

Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman at a Little Rock home as a murder-suicide, authorities said Saturday.

Little Rock patrol officers were dispatched to 6 Glendale Drive just before 4 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a woman -- later identified as 54-year-old Donna Galvin -- on the bathroom floor with gunshot wounds in her upper body, according to a police report. She was taken to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, where she later died.

David Galvin, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to the police report.

Inside the house was Donna Galvin's mother, Elizabeth Mitchell, who was in poor health and had slept through the shooting. Also in the home at the time of the shooting was the Galvins' 17-year-old son, who went to a neighbor's home to call 911, according to the police report.

Elizabeth Mitchell was released to Donna Galvin's next of kin, and the 17-year-old was released to his uncle, according to the police report.
