ROGERS -- Former Rogers High girls basketball player Brooke Sagely would often travel up to Neosho, Mo. to watch her cousin, Sarah Sagely, play basketball at Crowder College.

Next year, those roles will be reversed after Brooke Sagely signed a letter of intent with Crowder on Wednesday afternoon.

"It's a great opportunity," Sagely said. "I have a chance to develop my skills, get some playing time and play for a really great coach. I watched my cousin a couple of years ago and then I had a chance to go up for a tryout. My cousin always bragged about Crowder a lot and I heard a lot of great things from her."

Sagely is the 18th player that Rogers coach Preston Early has watched to go on to play at the college level and he said his former guard has a high ceiling. Sagely led Rogers last year in scoring (11 points), rebounds (6), steals and assists.
