Melissa Lynne Cornett and Martin Radzio were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Cathedral of St. Andrew. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

Parents of the bride are Rosemary and Dr. Lawrence Cornett, 14411 Charwick Drive. Her grandparents are the late Rose and Mario Giusti of Roseville, Calif., and the late Barbara and Leslie Cornett of Salinas, Calif.

The groom is the son of Izabella Pelkowska of Warsaw, Poland, and Andrzej Radzio of Quinton, Va. He is the grandson of the late Mieczyslawa and Tadeusz Pelkowski and the late Aleksandra and Lucjan Radzio, all of Warsaw.

The guest book table was decorated with an arrangement of white garden roses, miniature calla lilies and citrus green viburnum. Music was by organist Allan Pieroni and vocalist/cantor Jaimee Jensen-McDaniel.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fit-and-flare gown of Alencon lace over satin, embellished with diamante beading. The fitted bodice had a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, and the skirt had a sash of pearl, rhinestones and sequins at the waist and extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of roses, lisianthus, ranunculus and viburnum.

Ashley Clemons of Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Robinson of Sarasota, Fla.; Natalie Barr of Bentonville; Elizabeth Pevehouse of Washington; and Cara Rosenthal of Arlington, Va. They wore plum gowns of crinkle chiffon with draped V-necklines and cowl backs, and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Serving as the groom's honor attendants were Tom Radzio of Newark, Del., brother of the groom, and John M. Steck V of Alpharetta, Ga. Groomsmen were Kevin Burcham of Roanoke, Va.; Matthew Coleman of San Francisco; and Kent Collier of Brooklyn, N.Y. Guests were seated by Brian Cornett of Bentonville, brother of the bride.

A reception at Chenal Country Club followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated arrangements of peach and coral roses, freesia, lisianthus and green viburnum in Revere bowls or gold epergnes. Music was by Almost Famous.

The bride has bachelor's degrees in biology and nursing from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of the women's tennis team. She has a master's in nursing with a concentration in nurse anesthesia from Georgetown University in Washington. She is a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

The groom has bachelor's and master's degrees in systems engineering from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. He is a program manager at Lockheed Martin.

The couple will reside in Stafford, Va., after a wedding trip to Barbados.
