Burlington to open Rogers store in fall

Northwest Arkansas will gain a new retailer this fall when Burlington Coat Factory opens a store in Pleasant Crossing Plaza at 4325 S. Pleasant Crossing Blvd. in Rogers.

The 60,000-square-foot store is to employ 50-100 people. Store departments will include ladies’ dresses, suits, sportswear, juniors, accessories, menswear, family footwear and children’s clothing. It also includes an assortment of furniture and accessories for babies at Baby Depot, home decor and gifts, and a large selection of coats for the family.

Arvest renews ballpark naming rights

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Arvest Bank reached an agreement to extend the bank’s naming rights to the Springdale-based Arvest Ballpark through 2027. The agreement extends the naming rights for a second 10-year period. The first naming-rights agreement was established in 2007, the construction date for the stadium and the year the Naturals were established. The Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Rogers supplier among Tyson honorees

Tyson Foods Inc. named Midland Industrial Service in Rogers its contractor of the year in its Poultry and Prepared Foods Division.

Midland provides mechanical and electrical services to all types of food service and manufacturing industries. The company offers support to engineering and maintenance departments in areas of equipment installation, fabrication, electrical installations, trouble-shooting and emergency repairs, tear-outs, and replacement equipment and components.

Supplier of the year winners were: Newly Weds Foods Inc., based in Chicago; Zip-Pak of Manteno, Ill.; Hantover Inc., based in Overland Park, Kan.; and Hugg & Hall Equipment Co. of Little Rock.

Kerry Ingredients & Flavours based in Beloit, Wis., was named innovation supplier of the year; Zones Inc. of Auburn, Wash., was diverse supplier of the year; and Reliance Construction of Iowa, based in Schleswig, Iowa, was contractor of the year, fresh meats division.
