Where I live: I live in Thornbury addition in Springdale. It’s ideally located near Interstate 49. We moved here in 2008 from Benton. Our house was built in 2005. It’s at the end of a cul de sac and that house had everything we wanted. my wife wanted enough room so that she could have a craft room, and I wanted a media room and a master bedroom downstairs.
Occupation: I am an elder law lawyer. I work with the elderly on their specific legal issues, primarily estate planning. Also, I spend a lot of my time helping families transition family members into long-term care, helping them figure out how to pay for it and access Veterans Affairs and medicaid benefits. I am one of four certified elder law lawyers in the state.
My favorite space: my kitchen.
Why? I like to cook. my dad left when I was 12 so it was just me and my mom. She worked late hours sometimes so I learned to cook at an early age. I still love it, and I love to have family and friends come over. Our kitchen is big enough that we can actually entertain now. There’s an island in the middle, and I’ve got two ovens. It’s open to the living room.
If I could do one thing to improve the space, I would: Have more time to invite people over and enjoy the space.
