I-630 work entails traffic disruptions

Work on Interstate 630 in Little Rock will require a series of lane closures beginning Sunday and lasting through Friday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.

Crews installing overhead sign structures on I-630 westbound between the Baptist Health Medical Center exit and the Interstate 430 north access ramp will reduce I-630 traffic to only the outside lane from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, weather permitting. Traffic may be stopped intermittently during the installation, the department said.

Crews removing a temporary barrier wall will require closing the inside lane of I-630 westbound from Baptist to South Shackleford Road beginning Monday. The closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday, weather permitting.
