Golf: Bentonville's Billington Signs With Harding

Taytum Billington received the opportunity to extend her golf career, and the Bentonville senior took it when she signed a national letter of intent Monday afternoon with Harding.

"I was looking for a place that was close to home," Billington said. "My college major will be psychology, and Harding is the number one psychology school in the state.

"I always wanted golf to be a part of my college, and Harding has a team that has room for a lot of growth. I wanted a team that was going somewhere and had goals and ambitions to be better. It really was a perfect fit."

Billington was a four-year member of Bentonville's girls golf team and started every match during her senior year for the Lady Tigers, who earned a runner-up finish in last fall's Class 7A state tournament. She made Harding her choice over Ouachita Baptist, Central Baptist and Arkansas-Fort Smith.
