Bigelow man dies cleaning up debris

MAYFLOWER -- The owner of a recreational-vehicle business in Mayflower died while apparently trying to clear tornado-related debris from his property, police said Monday.

Mayflower police identified the victim as Lendell D. Boydston, 50, of Bigelow.

Police officer Wesley Tyra said authorities believe Boydston, whose body was found Monday, was using a Bobcat front-loader to clean up storm debris at his Mayflower RV business on Interstate Drive when the vehicle overturned at some point. An April 27 tornado heavily damaged parts of Faulkner and Pulaski counties.

Boydston was dead when authorities arrived at the scene shortly after learning of the accident Monday morning. They said it could have happened as early as Sunday afternoon.
