Bentonville Choral Festival Set For Oct. 13

BENTONVILLE -- The Bentonville Choral Festival will be held Oct. 13.

The festival will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Bentonville High School main gym. It will feature music from the school's chorus as well as choruses from Fulbright, Lincoln and Washington junior high schools, and Ardis Ann, Brightfield, Ruth Barker and Old High middle schools, according to a news release.

Admission is free, but people are asked to donate an item for Bentonville Bright Futures snack program. Bentonville Bright Futures boxes will be at the entrance to the gym to collect donations.

Bentonville High School's choir program has received numerous state and national awards, been invited to appear at state, regional and national music conventions and achieved a consistent superior rating in regional and national competitions for 23 years, according to the release.

Bright Futures is a district nonprofit group designed to match community resources to people in need. The program is designed to support students and families with time, talent and treasure found in the community to meet needs, often within 24 hours of a request.

Items needed for snack packs include pudding cups, fruit cups, ramen noodles, juice boxes, microwavable macaroni and cheese and/or soup, individually wrapped peanut-free snacks like cheese crackers, granola bars, fruit chews, animal crackers, instant oatmeal packets, graham crackers, dried fruit and cereal.

Monetary donations to support Bentonville Bright Futures will be accepted at the information booth.
