Fayetteville Chamber Of Commerce To Host City Council Candidate Forums

FAYETTEVILLE -- The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting forums for candidates in contested City Council races during the next three weeks, according to a chamber news release.

Each forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the chamber offices, 123 W. Mountain St. All candidates have been invited to the forums, which are scheduled:

• Tuesday -- Ward 4

• Sept. 30 -- Ward 2

• Oct. 7 -- Ward 1

Six candidates -- Ray Boudreaux, Craig Honchell, D'Andre Jones, John La Tour, Phillip McKnight and Robert Williams -- are vying to replace outgoing Alderwoman Rhonda Adams in Ward 4, which includes several neighborhoods west of the University of Arkansas campus and most land west of Interstate 49.

The Ward 2 race pits incumbent Alderman Mark Kinion against Joshua Crawford and Robert Patton. Ward 2 spans most of north and north-central Fayetteville.

Alderwoman Adella Gray is running against Sonia Davis Gutierrez and Paul Phaneuf in Ward 1, which encompasses south and southeast Fayetteville.
